Beal never went to art collage, but learnt a lot from his father at a very early age, starting with portraiture and figure drawing, progressing to landscapes and eventually, to his fathers’ disgust, abstracts.
Eventually he returned to semi-abstracts and shattered landscapes and seascapes. Most of his work has been in oils, which his father started him on.
